spacerSue Swerdlow reveals her love of Polynesia and Hawaii through imaginative portrayals of the land, culture and history. Schooled at Chinoards (now known as California Institute of the Arts) and self taught, this painter uses her inspiration to fuel a wide variety of subjects. Her themes are rendered in acrylics, watercolors, pastels and graphite. Originals, limited edition giclees and lithographs, present a well-rounded and unique offering at this working artist's gallery in in historic Kapa'au at the northern tip of the Big Island of Hawaii. Sue Swerdlow's custom designs for residential and private commissions include murals, faux finishes, tiles, stained glass and granite.
