We were scheduled to leave the next day.. I bet they could have heard me sigh in China. Things improved when the Princess and I went down to the beach. I'm sure we must have raised a few eyebrows. I should care? Hahahahaha!
The day was glorious and I reveled in affectionate glances that only the Princess can bestow. You just know that the other guy was pouting. Oh well, it was nice of him to snap the picture. He's really not such a bad chap after all. I sat near the water for hours after, trying to permanently capture the memory of such a thrilling embrace!
When clouds came in I knew we were in for a spectacular sunset so I returned to our lanai. For an hour or longer I watched the light shift as though it was being manipulated by some sorcerer.
What were once subtle colors began to change. I sat in awe as the setting sun slipped below the horizon. Even my normally talkative biographer was at a loss for words. Here. See why:
Then it was dark...with the exception of the fire in the sky.
That last night I slept like a warthog should, next to the Princess and the sound of waves in happy ears.
